Minutes of the Special Meeting
July 5, 2011
A Special
meeting of The Baroda Township Board was called to order by Supervisor Jim Brow
in
the Auxiliary meeting room of the Baroda Township Municipal Building at 8:40 a.m. Present
were Jim Brow, Susan Newcomer, Amy Hemphill, David Wolf, and Wendie Shafer. Jim Brow
presented a letter from the Berrien County Road Commission requesting Baroda Township
to participate in sharing ˝ the cost ($7,400) with Oronoko Township to patch and seal
coat Hollywood Road from Lemon Creek Road to Hinchman Road. Wendie Shafer reported
that there was over $30,000 in matching funds that could be used for this project. David Wolf
moved, seconded by Amy Hemphill to approve the expenditure of $7400 from the matching
funds for Baroda Township’s ˝ share of patching and Seal coating Hollywood Road from
Lemon Creek Road to Hinchman Road. Vote – All Yes. Motion Carried.
Discussing was held on the matter of a possible law suit by John Baird, owner of Baroda Estates
on the issue of Rubbish pick up billing. It was suggested that Jim and Dave meet with John
Baird to talk about a possible solution to the issue.
Amy Hemphill asked what date would be good to meet with the auditors to review the audit. A
Tuesday morning at 8:30 a.m. was agreed to be a good time for all of the Board members to
meet.
The next meeting of the Baroda Township Board is scheduled for Monday July 18, 2011.
