
BARODA TOWNSHIP PARK at Hess
Lake
Baroda Township is on the list to receive a Grant from the
Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund in 2011.
The Grant Project may be viewed at the Baroda Township Offices. Features of the Plan include expanding the
Biking/Walking trail, constructing a fishing pier, installing a new pavilion
and kitchen amenities, picnic tables, and installing more playground equipment. The project must be completed within two
years.
Baroda Township Park has a pavilion with picnic tables,
electricity, a quaint old handle pump for water, state of the art playground
equipment, baseball and soccer fields, a nature walking trail through the
wooded area and of course Hess Lake (trolling motors only please). Hess Lake is not subject to Park hours.
Park Hours are 6 a.m. – 10 p.m.
The Park Pavilion may be reserved by calling the Baroda Township
Clerk at (269) 422-2300. The Key to unlock the electrical supply may
be picked up, and returned to the Clerk’s office at 9091 First St. Baroda.
Baroda Township residents only may reserve the park through the
month of January beginning at 9 a.m. on the first business day after New Year’s
Day. Beginning at 9 a.m. the first
business day of February, non-residents may also reserve the park. Rental fee is due at the time the key is
picked up.
The rental fee for
Baroda Township and Village residents is $25.
The rental fee for
non-profit organizations is $25.
The rental Fee for
non-residents is $40.
Please park only in the parking areas. Please bring your own trash bags and cleaning supplies to clean up after your event. PLEASE: No Camping, No Horses, No Firearms, No open Fires (fire receptacles are provided), No Snowmobiles, No Alcohol or illegal substances, No Motor Bikes, No Pets (service animals allowed), No Hunting, No Swimming, No Disorderly conduct. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping our Park a clean and safe family recreational destination.
