Text Box: Baroda Township has two cemeteries. Hinman Cemetery is located on Hills Road South of Shawnee Rd. Ruggles Cemetery is located on Stevensville-Baroda Road north of the Village. The Cemeteries are open 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily Cemetery Lots may be purchased at the Baroda Township Clerk’s office during regular business hours. Cemetery Lot Prices: Baroda Resident $100 Non-Resident $500 Monument Foundations : Cost is .25 per square inch. Foundations must extend 2” past the monument on all sides. When Ordering please give both monument and foundation sizes. Payment must be made to Baroda Township before work is begun. The pouring of foundation cement may be delayed in some cases due to weather conditions. CEMETERY RULES Spring Cleanup is to be completed by April 1. Please remove any decorations you wish to reuse prior to this date. Fall Cleanup is to be completed by October 15. Please remove any decorations you wish to reuse prior to this date. Please do not grade, level, mound or excavate upon any burial space. Surfaces must be left so as not to hinder lawnmowers or other gardening equipment. Surfaces other than earth or sod are prohibited. Do not place decorations or plantings in the area behind the headstone. That space belongs to the adjacent lot. Flowers, shrubs, trees or vegetation may be planted only in front or directly beside the headstone, with the approval of the cemetery sexton or township clerk. The township board reserves the right to remove or trim any tree, plant or shrub located within the cemetery in the interest of maintaining proper appearance of the cemetery. The sexton has the right and authority to remove and dispose of any and all growth, emblems, displays or containers that become unsightly, a source of litter or a maintenance problem. Please put all cemetery refuse ( weeds, dried flowers, plant pots, etc.) in containers located within the cemeteries. Water available at the pumps is for watering only. It is NOT FOR DRINKING.
