In response to a question
that had been raised at the April meeting re: building and zoning permits
having been issued for a pole barn at a certain location, Mr. H. Gaul informed
the Commission the applicant did in fact have sufficient land for the size pole
barn being constructed.
ZONING ADMINISTRATOR’S REPORT
– NONE
The Commission discussed at
some length the status of certain zoning enforcement matters of which it had or
will be dealing. The Commission was
concerned as to whether adequate attention was being paid to all phases of the
enforcement process and wished to make known to the Township Board its
perceptions and concerns.

SHORT TERM RENTAL/TOURIST
HOME REGULATIONS AND PROCESSES
There was to have been a
Public Hearing prior to tonight’s Commission meeting where amendments to the
Zoning Ordinance pertaining to Short term Rentals and Bed and Breakfast
operations were to have been discussed.
However, a publishing error on the part of the local newspaper resulted
in the Legal Notice announcing the Public Hearing to run at a later date than
required by law. The Public Hearing will
be held prior to the

Commissioner Lippert noted he
had seen an off-site advertising sign on the Stevensville/Baroda Rd, just prior
to Linco (if heading North), for a “Custom” Taxidermy Service, and wondered if
the necessary paperwork (if required) had been addressed. No one present was able to answer him.
